Promotion Module Overview​

Promotion module enable you to create an event to trigger discount for a period of time when the condition is met. This is especially useful to automate a large amount of inventory items of different discount type.

Getting there.

In the navigation menu, select: Modules > Promotion module.​

Access level requirement to control this module.

Creating a new promotion scheme   ​

Step 1. Promotion name*

• Fill in the promotion name field under  name (Max 16 Alphanumerical) 

The promotion name field is for user to identify the promotion type. 

• Fill in the promotion description field under description (Max 50 Alphanumerical)

The promotion description field is printed on consumer receipt.

Step 2. Promotion period*​

•  All time

Select this option if the promotion last forever until deactivate

•  Date & Time

Select this option to pre-set a specific start and end date & time to trigger the promotion event.

• Time

Select this option to pre-set a specific time to trigger the promotion event.

Step 3. Promotion type*

Each type of discount allow you to set 5 tier level of trigger by quantity.

• Promotion by percentage discount (-%)

Example (Qty = Quantity) : 

Tier 1 :   2 Qty = 10% discount

Tier 2 :   5 Qty = 15% discount

Tier 3 : 10 Qty = 20% discount

Tier 4 : 15 Qty = 25% discount

Tier 5 : 30 Qty = 30% discount

Suggested example:

2 for 10%

• Promotion by amount 

Example (Qty = Quantity) : 

Tier 1 :   2 Qty =  $10 

Tier 2 :   5 Qty =  $20

Tier 3 : 10 Qty =  $35

Tier 4 : 15 Qty =  $50

Tier 5 : 30 Qty =  $70

Suggested example:

Buy 1 get 1 free​

• Promotion by selling quantity 

Example (Qty = Quantity) : 

Tier 1 :   5 Qty = 0.10 discount each

Tier 2 : 10 Qty = 0.15 discount each

Tier 3 : 20 Qty = 0.20 discount each

Tier 4 : 50 Qty = 0.25 discount each

Tier 5 100 Qty = 0.30 discount each

Step 4. Include inventory items in the promotion scheme

• Click on [Search] button

• Select the items to include into this promotion

• Click on [Save] button to complete.

Searching for an existing promotion scheme.​

• The [Search] button enable under promotion title allow user to find all promotion scheme in the system .

• The [Edit] button enable user to edit an existing promotion scheme
